Our Story
Oxford University Lightweight Rowing Club has been training scholar athletes and fielding crews to compete against and beat Cambridge at the Lightweight Boat Races year on year since 1975. All athletes selected for the Blue Boat receive a Full Blue, the university's highest sporting accolade. The 2021 Lightweight Boat Races witnessed our third consecutive win for both the Blue Boat and Nephthys (our reserves).
Since its founding, the Club has developed into one of the premier lightweight rowing programmes in the country, consistently ranking in the top university crews in the UK at BUCS and in Europe at the European University Games. OULRC has won 5 championship medals at BUCS and 2 medals at EUSA in the past 2 years.
