OULRC is proud to announce Nephthys Regatta 2012 to be held on Friday and Saturday of 6th week (16th and 17th November).
Don't miss this important warm up event for Christ Church Regatta - The only race practice your novices will get before the main event in 7th week and the only chance to race senior VIIIs side by side in Oxford.
With water levels on the Isis increasingly unpredictable its important to give your novices (and senior squads) as many chances to race as possible. Don't let the weather rob your freshers of any racing this term - in the past decade Christ Church has been wholly or partial cancelled on at least 4 occasions, while Nephthys Regatta has gone ahead in full every time.
Due to demand for places over the last two year we're running the regatta over two days again. Senior events will be held on Friday afternoon with Novice VIIIs on Saturday. In the case of large entries we'll also run a few first round Novice races on Friday to make space in the draw for as many Novice's as possible.
Entry costs are £50 for an 8+ and £25 for a 4+. Lightweight coxed fours are particularly encouraged and race at a subsidised cost of £10 for the crew.
Entries accepted in the following categories:
Mens Novice 8+
Womens Novice 8+
Mens Senior 8+
Womens Senior 8+
Men Senior 4+
Womens Senior 4+
Mens Lwt 4+ (each crew member must weigh 75kgs or less)
Womens Lwt 4+ (each crew member must weigh 63kgs or less)
Event plan and competitors' instructions are on the website. All entries to be made through the OURCs online entry system by the deadline of midnight on Monday 12th November (6th week). Cheques payable to OULRC to be pidged to Richard Watson @ Pembroke.
